The Pathé 16 Webo M is a robust and sophisticated spring-wound 16mm cine camera produced by the French company Pathé, and was a contemporary of the popular Bolex H16 reflex camera. It was highly regarded for its precision engineering, compact size, and professional-level features, including reflex viewing and a variable shutter. Though several versions of the Webo were produced, the "M" model was an advanced camera for its era, offering professional features in a relatively compact body. A powerful, hand-wound mechanical motor drives the camera, eliminating the need for batteries during filming. One full wind is sufficient to expose a significant length of film. The camera supports a range of speeds, typically from 8 to 80 frames per second (fps), providing options for slow-motion, time-lapse, and other creative speeds. The camera's turret can be fitted with three C-mount lenses. The mounts are recessed, and because they are close together, large lenses may interfere with one another.
